Joining Together: A Covenant Membership Class for the Local Church (Student Study Guide)
We live in an era where one’s claim to “believe in Jesus” cannot be taken at face value. Mormons, Jehovah’s Witnesses, Baptists, and the liberal university student may all claim to “believe in Jesus”, but they all mean very different things. So how do we protect God’s church from false teachings, unconverted church members, and lawsuits? How do we love and care for people well on the front end of church membership so that they are well prepared to serve the body of Christ? Where do we start when discipling a brand new believer?

This 6-week membership class is designed to be a practical tool for both protecting the church and shepherding someone into church membership. Each chapter has fill-in-the-blanks along the way and the answers can be found in the appendix.  There is a weekly challenge at the end of each chapter to help readers apply what they are learning. This book can also be used as a one-on-one discipleship tool for new believers. It systematically covers in a concise and interactive way the doctrine of God, sin, Christ, salvation, Scripture, the church, spiritual disciplines, and the mission of making disciples of all nations.

Lead Me to the Cross: Reflections on the Road to Redemption
After meeting so many who are unfamiliar with the story of Jesus’ death and resurrection, I decided to write this book to be used for personal devotion and/or as a discipleship tool. The book leads the reader along the path toward Jesus’ crucifixion according to the Gospel of Luke showing the theological significance of each scene. Each chapter ends with several reflection questions to be used in the context of a discipleship relationship or a small group.

It is through the climactic story of the cross that many of the doctrines of Christianity can be seen and savored. In the narrative of crucifixion and resurrection, we see a holy, just, and gracious God hating sin, loving people, and sovereignly accomplishing salvation. Every scene, character, and conversation along the way brings deeper clarity to the whole gospel message. May God use this resource to help others explore the riches of the gospel by his grace and for his glory.
